ABOUT ME
My name is Sara Johnson, and I currently live in Nashville, Tennessee. I work as a mixer and sound designer for live entertainment.
In December of 2019, I received my BFA in Theatre Design and Technology from Coastal Carolina University, with a concentration in sound design. My previous works include The Mountaintop, POTUS, Bright Star, Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again., Steel Pier, A Little Night Music, The Pillowman, and Bullets Over Broadway.
I currently work at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center as an audio hand, having moved back to Tennessee in early 2022. After graduating in 2019, I moved to Tennessee and started working with INSPIRE (previously known as JSAV) as an audio-visual technician, up until everything was shut down due to COVID.
While attending college, I worked for Wheelwright Auditorium as an audio production assistant for three years, and I was formerly one of the audio engineers at Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament for four years. I love what I do and am passionate about helping amplify a person’s experience when seeing a show.
